It seems almost impossible to pigeonhole Büro Destruct. One of the most broadly influential and loved design groups of recent times, BD seems to be unbridled by the conventional definitions and expectations of a typical studio. Their clients are myriad, their styles are diverse, and there seems to be no discipline, craft or material they wont apply themselves to. What’s most impressive about the studio is the vast array of self directed work they produce – including typography (most famously BD PLAKTBAU, used on Radiohead’s Kid A and Amnesiac), posters, books, t-shirts, toys, and much more. The joy and passion for their work is evident in everything they do, and nearly 17 years after they opened their doors, Büro Destruct continue to surprise and delight.
