Despite impossible odds, Chicago native, Wesley Willis became an underground rock icon, revered artist and hero to many before [...]

Old news by now, but I decided to take the train down to 2nd Avenue & Bowery to take a few of my own shots of the new(ish) RETNA mural on the Deitch Wall. You can still see some of the old Faile mural on the side of the wall.

Look gorgeous. Documents the creation of the Faile Temple in Lisbon, Portugal. Purchase the book here, $95.00. This book presents FAILE’s most complex and ambitious project to date—a large-scale, temporary installation of a temple created for Portugal Arte 10. The vanguard American urban artists masterfully translate familiar elements and themes from the contemporary prints, graphic [...]

Awesome 2012 reboot of street and bathroom scrawling by London’s Pictures on Walls gallery. You can waste a lot of time on this site properly entitled, “An idiot’s guide to art made by idiots.” Love it.

Never can get enough of Stephen Powers and his wit / aesthetic style. There’s something so satisfying about having any one of his pieces hanging on a wall at home – from the colors and simplicity of design to the sarcasm. The pieces we have collected over the years truly bring a smile to my [...]

New Krink app… $2.99. Use a K60 or 4 oz. mop to tag over your images and then share the images via Facebook, email, Instagram, text. What’s next in the app world? Virtual iPad toilet paper where you can share your poop smear and have it rated on your favorite social networks?

Saw this today on Unurth. It’s by a Slovenian artist named Miha Artnak. Really loved the simplicity, color and beauty of this idea.

Just in time for the Christmas Kidult is here to drop Illegal World Part II. Love this whole thing – cinemeatography, 80s murder music, message. Truth is the only reality.

Earsnot and Nemel getting paid to tag on a wall at Art Basel. Jesse is so funny, and the towel scene is epic.

Recently posted about the Chameleon living room, and got word from my friend Imri that his friends at Klip Collective are actually the inventors of video mapping with projectors. So innovative how this crew can transform physical spaces with animation and light. Gorgeous. As the inventors of video mapping, Klip leads the field of projection [...]

Earsnot: Since ‘98 I guess. So around 13 years. 12ozProphet: What’s the first tag you ever caught? . Earsnot: I think the first [...]

I’ve been meaning to post this, but haven’t found the time lately to write on here. Anyway, Kidult owns Celine with a giant “SK8″ tage after their recent ads showing models posing with skateboards and oversized canvases. Looks like Kidult made their store his canvas and got the paint color pretty darn close.

More from the illusive Paris(?) mass-media prophet, phantom Kidult. Highlghts of this film: Rebenga dying in Guantanamo, and Kidult’s recent expo of “LOVE” on oppressive retail. Negative energy never saw better. Hope this guy never sells art like Banksy and just likes it what for what he’s doing… Loving the shit show and horror music.

Surreal trompe l’oeil street art by French artists Paper Donut. Lots of other very nice stuff like some low-fi papercraft, that is worth checking out on their site. Apparently the work creates illusions of perspective and shape, depending on the viewing angle. via Jeannie Jeannie.

Great new book on the golden era of Bay Area graffiti with lots of interviews and photos. Order here. Veteran graffiti writers SFaustina and Jocelyn Superstar have collaborated on a history of the graffiti scene in the San Franscisco Bay area from the early 1980s to the late 1990s. The result of their collaboration, Bay [...]
