Can’t wait to see how awfully bad this show is going to be. I think the last time someone attempted this show concept, it was that remarkable Agency.com “pitch process” video for Subway, which was truly painful, and very awkward to watch. The pitch trailer: Hilarious Agency.com fail: Advertising gets a new spotlight in April [...]

Pinterest is a great tool for curating visual information, empowering people to form valuable mental connections between groups of related, and unrelated images in a central space. What I really find fascinating about Pinterest is the images are already curated and filtered by human beings and friends within your social network, rather than a web [...]

This font is hot. Lovely retro library / 60s advertising feel with tons of OpenType swashes and ligatures. Check out the type speciman here. I wish the digital download came with that musty old book smell you get turning pages in used book stores or a public library. Bookmania is a revival of Bookman Oldstyle [...]

I’ve started a few lists here on the blog, partly just so I can look up things I may forget, partly because it would be cool to do a “best of” for a the categories once there is enough content. I often look up, and see typefaces I like, but sometimes don’t get around to [...]

Great retro media probe featuring Herb Lubalin into the evolution and creative woes of attempting to design a brand identity, in this case for PBS. I love the famous last words in the start of this film, “Designers cherish the time they spend alone, it’s you, your pen and paper. No limits.” Watch this film [...]

Promotional viral video for Toroto agency St John. Guess these guys have a lot of time on their hands up there in Canadia, or they really, really want Friskies to check our their agency credentials.

I’ve been meaning to post this, but haven’t found the time lately to write on here. Anyway, Kidult owns Celine with a giant “SK8″ tage after their recent ads showing models posing with skateboards and oversized canvases. Looks like Kidult made their store his canvas and got the paint color pretty darn close.

ESPO murals inside a mega-sign shop oblisk. Oh, the irony. I bet in four years this will be painted over. That’s a good number I think.

Fresh off the presses internet! Hennesy Youngman talks some time off the rigorous and exhausting art scene to discuss his new drink of choice, “Sun Over North Philly”: Sunkist and Woodford reserve (brown liquor). Complex flavor profiles and deep side-talkin’. I’ll drink about 15 of those bartender. Love this guy.

Brilliant print campaign for Paris radio station Oui FM by photographer Matthieu Raffard. via Laughing Squid. Would love to try this with San Francisco album covers, but can only imagine this would be difficult to pull off correctly.

Seems Kidult is on a new tee-shirt launch, no details, but all concept and ironic angst judging by the title. Can’t wait until Highsnobiety picks it up. Love this guy. Keep up the good work, keep it left. Tee shirts graphics suck, but do what you gotta do and keep it accessible until the next [...]
