CB2 Space Age Cat and Doggie Bowls

New cat / doggie bowls from CB2 (actually they are snack bowls). These look really nice and retail 19.95 for the large size and 10.95 for the mini. I think our cats will get these, and I really like how they are tilted forward. Link from Modern Cat.

Irina Werning Photographer – “Back to the Future” Comparisons

These photos are such an amazing demonstration of careful styling and camera manipulation. It features photos of people taken during their youth and the places them side by side with a photo taken many years later. Really tasty. Visit her site here. Thanks Bodi.

Jawbox – Spoiler

Another favorite Jawbox song of mine… Today is Jawbox day at BBC.

Cris Cleen Pas Un Autre Article

Really great article about artist and tattoo artist extraordinaire over at Pas Un Auture. I think they did such a great job in capturing Cris’ sensibilties, and I love the writing and conclusion. Check it out, well worth a read. The ubiquitous proliferation of tattoos in today’s mainstream culture has peeled away all but every [...]

Dagger tattoo by Cris Cleen

Recently got this dagger by Cris Cleen over at Idle Hand. As usual, super stoked on the craftsmanship and attention to detail. He did this really fast, I think it was like an hour and half to two hours. Cris also did the owl chest piece I have.

Jawbox – Mirrorful

90s video directing was so grunge, but this song and BAND still rock. You have to watch this one directly on YouTube for some reason.

Steve Powers TED Talk

The inspiring and always articulate Steve Powers talks about the Love Letter project, his work and some of what’s he been up to in Brazil. Great stuff.

Giorgio Moroder and NASA

This segment is incredible. Love the row of analog VU meters! “Every night was a little nightmare so I decided not to do it…” Lol…the VO is so so terrible and priceless.

Nano-Hummingbird Flights coming to Al-Qaeda to Destroy!

The sweet nectar-lole bird that packs a sugary punch. Watch out. Humminbirds are coming to war-torn towns. Ethical or humane? Surgical? Thanks Lars. Brilliant and awe-inspiring on the nectar end of killer bees. One million spent in remote controls thanks to DAARPA and aervironment.   Nano Hummingbird AV is developing the Nano Air Vehicle (NAV) [...]

Can’t get enough of Stinkworx

Another wowser… Brood lord emo status.

Stinkworx – Adrastea

Great track. Wow.

Xacto madness paper sculpture

Crazy paper design from Alberto Parise and Giovanni Pasini for an exhibition between Swiss and Italian designers. More info here. Also, a very cool time lapse video showing the creation.

Parklife Owns Jeff Koons

Lol. Jeff Koons givs up his lawsuit against local gallery Parklife for selling book ends of the famous Koon baloon dog. Link here. Clowns everywhere can breathe easier: Jeff Koons’s lawyers have backed down in an intellectual property dispute over balloon dog-shaped bookends. In December, Peter D. Vogl of the firm Jones Day, which represents [...]

Pixelfari – 8 bit web browser

Threading the Needle

Nice photo on Rojo.

Dalek Paints a Door in California

Big fan of Dalek. Sort of funny that he painted his friend’s door. I want him to do our door. Link to Dalek.

Banksy Owns Hollywood for Oscars?

Apparently there’s talk about Banksy taking over Hollywood in preparation for the Oscars. This bilboard looks nothing like Banksy’s work in my opinion… Sort of reminds me more of Kaws when he was drawing over CK bus stop ads years and years back.

Eboy Paris Puzzle

Let’s face it, puzzles are fun. And what’s better than doing a puzzle whilst admiring in close detail the pixel based handiwork that goes into Eboy. You can order it here. It has 1500 pieces, so it should take about 4-5 hours to do I’d guess.

San Francisco Video Game Museum

Please say it’s so… Go donate so it happens. Original link here. San Francisco has been forming its reputation as the online gaming Mecca. To cap it off, a group is now attempting to establish the city’s first videogame museum, which would pay homage to the creators of all our favorite fantasy worlds. The Museum [...]
